I have had fun making a few fall signs lately and thought it would be great to share them here with you and offer them up as a free fall svg file so you could make your own wood blocks for fall.

A few days ago, my husband was kind enough to cut up a bunch of wood for me.

The boys and I had fun sanding them… and then made a house with them, too 🙂

After their fun was over, I took them into the garage and stained them all dark brown.

When they were dry, my fun began. I designed these cute cut files and added them to them with vinyl.

I then decided to make a second set. These blocks I painted white. I used painter’s tape to make a clean line, so that there would be a bit of a border around the edge. It took several coats of paint to cover the dark stain.

Then, I sanded them all to give them a distressed look.

These ones I used a blue vinyl on.

You don’t need to have a cutting machine like a cricut, though to make these. You can use the file I’ve provided and transfer the image onto your wood and hand paint. That’s a really nice look and I do that a lot, too. If you want further directions for that method, you can click here.
Do you like the stained wood or the painted ones better? I can’t decide, I kind of like them both!

Did you like this post? I would love it if you pinned it!

If you were wanting to make your own wood blocks for fall this year, I would love to share this cut file with you! Just put your info into the box below and it’s yours 🙂 If you’ve already signed up for emails, just fill out the box anyways, you won’t be signing up for anything new. And most of all… have fun creating!
